Happy Chinese New year!
2012, the dragon year.

I know there are lots of issues about recent SOPA, and my fileserve was even frozen.
I do not know whether fileserve will delete them or not.
But so far those 600Gb files are still downloadable.
Please download those files ASAP.
Let us wait and see which file hosting service is reliable!
(So far I only consider the Chinese one - 115.com)
Let all be good!

I wish you the best for the future of your blog. As it stands you've already given us so much. It's hard to find any ryukoka outside of Japan (and I'm still not sure where I can find Japanese uploads of this material). Whatever I've acquired--which is quite a bit--has been via direct purchases from my local Japanese bookstore. However it's a very wonderful thing to see the likes of Ichiro Fujiyama, Yoshie Fujiwara, Kouta Katsutaro, Bin Uehara, Masao Koga, Shimpei Nakayama, et al being shared as they are here.
ReplyDeleteAs fine as the classical uploads are--and believe me as a collector who has amassed some 5000 CDs in his own personal collection, I've found some treasures here that have even eluded my grasp--it's the ryukoka that keeps me coming back. What a lively and interesting musical culture Japan had in the late Taisho/early Showa era!
Speaking of Masao Koga, I hope you get around to reuploading that Masao Koga set soon. I have an old LP that I found some time ago of his later recordings (from the 1950s), but it would be welcome to hear your set. Ah, and anything by Taro Shoji, Noriko Awaya, Haruo Oka, and Tomuki Tokuyama would be greatly appreciated too!
Thank you for all of your work.
Best,
